GravaStar 60% Hall Effect Keyboards: Compact gaming, customized controls

More space for your mouse, more control over your inputs: The GravaStar Mercury V60 series combines the compact 60% format with UFO magnetic switches, Rapid Trigger, and 8,000 Hz USB polling. Choose between the crystal look of the V60, the full aluminum housing of the V60 Pro, and the V60 Ultra in Obsidian Black.

What are Hall Effect keyboards?

Magnetic sensors detect key movement without physical contact. Through the web configuration, you can adjust the actuation points to suit your playing style. Rapid Trigger aligns activation and reset with the movement of the key, enabling quick repeated inputs.

The V60 and V60 Pro offer 0.005 mm Rapid Trigger precision according to the manufacturer; the V60 Ultra is rated at 0.001 mm. These values describe the RT precision, not the lowest adjustable actuation point.

For gaming and everyday use

The compact format leaves room for wide mouse movements in FPS gaming and keeps your desk tidy. For typing, you can set the actuation points differently than for your next match. Check the layer assignments for frequently used function keys beforehand.

The most important features of the Mercury V60 series

8,000 Hz per USB

All models offered here are connected via a USB-C cable. 8,000 Hz corresponds to a USB polling interval of 0.125 ms, not a guaranteed total latency. The V60 and V60 Pro use a 64 kHz full-key and 512 kHz single-key scan rate. The Ultra has a different controller and scan architecture; you can find the exact specifications on its product page.

Settings according to your playing style

The V60 and V60 Pro offer four built-in configurations as well as Rapid Trigger, SOCD, Rappy Snappy, DKS, Mod-Tap, and Toggle. Customize your settings in the web driver. Check the rules of your game or tournament before enabling additional input functions.

Materials with their own character

The V60 in Onyx Crystal or Crystal Pink features a PC plastic housing, an aluminum plate, and a TOP construction. The V60 Pro uses full aluminum with an aluminum plate and TOP construction. The V60 Ultra combines full aluminum with a volume knob, MDA profile keycaps, and five-layer dampening.

RGB matching the model

The V60 and V60 Pro offer 16 RGB key effects. The Pro also features three-sided ambient lighting; the standard V60 has no side lighting. The V60 Ultra also offers 16 RGB modes and three-sided ambient lighting.

German QWERTZ or ANSI

Selected V60 and V60 Pro variants are available with German ISO-DE/QWERTZ. The V60 Ultra offered here uses ANSI/QWERTY. Check the layout of your chosen variant before purchasing; a different operating system layout does not change the key shape or labeling.

Hot-Swap and Web Configuration

The magnetic switches can be changed without soldering. Use a suitable puller and exclusively explicitly compatible Hall Effect switches. Standard mechanical 3-/5-pin switches are not a substitute. Settings are web-based; the model documentation lists Windows and macOS.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Mercury V60 Series

Which models are available with a German QWERTZ layout?

Selected V60 and V60 Pro variants are available with a German ISO-DE/QWERTZ layout. The V60 Ultra offered here uses ANSI/QWERTY. Check the layout of your selected variant before purchasing; a different operating system layout does not change the shape or labeling of the keys.

What is the difference between the V60, V60 Pro, and Pro Deluxe?

The V60 features a plastic PC case and RGB key backlighting without side lighting. The V60 Pro offers a full aluminum case and additional three-sided ambient lighting. The Pro Deluxe also includes an additional set of matte PC keycaps.

Is 0.005 mm the shortest actuation point?

No. On the V60 and V60 Pro, 0.005 mm refers to the RT precision specified by the manufacturer. From the factory, WASD is set to 0.5 mm and the remaining keys to 1 mm. You can adjust the actuation points via the web configuration.

Does 8,000 Hz mean a total latency of 0.125 ms?

No. 0.125 ms is the USB polling interval at 8,000 Hz. Total input latency depends on other factors. Polling rate, scan rate, and total latency are different specifications.

Can I use the keyboards wirelessly?

No. The V60, V60 Pro, and V60 Ultra models offered here operate exclusively via a USB-C cable. Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless are not included.

Can I use standard mechanical switches?

No. Use only magnetic switches expressly compatible with your model. A similar pin count does not guarantee compatibility. You will need a suitable puller to replace them, but no soldering iron.

How many keys does a 60% keyboard have?

The number of keys depends on the model and layout. The V60 Ultra offered here has 64 keys plus a volume knob. Check the physical key arrangement and layer assignments of the desired model instead of assuming that all 60% keyboards have the same number of keys.

Are the keyboards also suitable for everyday typing?

Yes. Adjust the actuation points to suit your typing preferences and choose an ISO-DE/QWERTZ variant if necessary. The compact design uses additional key layers for various functions; check the assignments before purchasing.
