75% Hall-Effect Keyboards: Your Game, Your Settings

More room for your mouse without sacrificing a dedicated F-row and arrow keys: The GravaStar Mercury V75 series combines the compact 75% format with magnetic switches, Rapid Trigger, and 8,000 Hz USB polling. Choose between the CNC-machined full aluminum of the V75 Pro, the metal frame of the V75, and the transparent plastic cases of the V75 Lite.

What are magnetic Hall-effect keyboards?

Hall-effect sensors detect key movement via a magnetic field rather than an electrical contact. You set the actuation point and customize the keyboard for your gaming or typing style. Rapid Trigger aligns activation and reset with key movement, allowing for quick repeated inputs.

According to the product data, the models offered here allow actuation points from 0.1 to 3.5 mm in 0.1 mm increments. The V75 and V75 Pro use UFO magnetic switches with 0.005 mm RT precision according to the manufacturer. The Lite models are rated at 0.01 mm precision. RT precision and the lowest actuation point are different values.

For Gaming, Work, and Everything in Between

Short actuation distances for your next match or a deeper actuation point for everyday typing: Set the sensitivity to suit your use. The F-row and dedicated arrow keys remain easily accessible. A volume knob adds to the controls without requiring you to leave your game.

The Key Features of the Mercury V75 Series

8,000 Hz via USB, model-dependent scan rates

All models offered here are connected via USB-C and are rated at 8,000 Hz USB polling. This corresponds to a USB polling interval of 0.125 ms, not a guaranteed total latency. The V75 and V75 Pro offer 32 kHz full-keyboard and 256 kHz single-key scanning. The Lite versions differ: Crystal Black lists 8 kHz full-keyboard and 64 kHz single-key scanning; Onyx Crystal lists 256 kHz scanning. Always compare the specific version.

Custom Controls and Hot-Swap

Rapid Trigger, adjustable actuation points, and additional input features such as LKP and Snap Click give you flexibility in configuration. Check your game or tournament rules before using such features. You do not need a soldering iron to change a switch, but you will need a suitable puller and expressly compatible magnetic switches. Standard mechanical 3-/5-pin switches are not a substitute.

Materials and Damping with Their Own Character

The V75 Pro Neon Graffiti and Cyberpunk use CNC-machined full aluminum, gasket mount, and four-layer damping. The V75 Stealth Black and Silver Frost combine a metal frame with a plastic base, gasket mount, and five-layer damping. The V75 Lite uses transparent plastic cases and five layers of damping. This allows you to choose not only the look but also the build to suit your setup.

RGB and Keycaps to Match the Design

Current product data lists 16 RGB modes. In addition to key lighting, the V75 Pro and V75 offer side ambient lighting. The Lite Onyx Crystal lists key and side lighting; Crystal Black lists key lighting. Neon Graffiti combines a UV-reactive design with ASA-PBT keycaps, while Cyberpunk uses translucent double-shot pudding PBT keycaps.

ISO-DE/QWERTZ or ANSI/QWERTY

The V75 Pro Neon Graffiti and V75 Stealth Black are available here in either German ISO-DE/QWERTZ or ANSI/QWERTY. Cyberpunk, Silver Frost, and the two Lite versions are currently offered with ANSI/QWERTY. Check your version before purchasing. A German operating system layout does not change the physical key arrangement or the labeling of an ANSI keyboard.

Wired for Windows and macOS

The model documentation lists Windows and macOS. The keyboards in this selection operate via USB-C, not Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz wireless. Check the respective product page for the available configuration options and the replacement switches suitable for your model.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Mercury V75 Series

Which models are available with a German QWERTZ layout?

Currently, for the V75 Pro Neon Graffiti and V75 Stealth Black, you can choose between ISO-DE/QWERTZ and ANSI/QWERTY. The Cyberpunk, Silver Frost, and two Lite versions are offered with ANSI/QWERTY in this selection.

What is the difference between the 75% and 60% formats?

The 75% format retains a dedicated F-row and dedicated arrow keys while remaining more compact than a full-size keyboard with a numeric keypad. It is right for you if, in addition to gaming, you want to handle work, shortcuts, and everyday navigation directly using these keys.

What is the difference between the V75 Pro, V75, and V75 Lite?

The Pro models feature a full CNC aluminum housing with four-layer dampening. The V75 combines a metal frame with a plastic base and five layers of dampening. The Lite versions use transparent plastic housings and different magnetic switches. Scan rates, keycaps, and lighting also differ depending on the version.

Are the two V75 Lite versions technically identical?

No. Onyx Crystal is described as having Blackcore switches, 256 kHz scanning, and key and side lighting. Crystal Black uses custom magnetic switches and features 8 kHz full-key scanning, 64 kHz single-key scanning, and RGB key lighting. Both are offered with ANSI/QWERTY and 8,000 Hz USB polling.

Are 0.005 mm or 0.01 mm the smallest actuation points?

No. These specifications refer to the precision of the magnetic switches or Rapid Trigger as stated by the manufacturer. The product specifications list an adjustable actuation range of 0.1 to 3.5 mm in 0.1 mm increments.

Does 8,000 Hz mean a total latency of 0.125 ms?

No. 0.125 ms describes the USB polling interval at 8,000 Hz. The total input latency depends on other factors. USB polling, internal scan rate, and total latency are different specifications.

Can I use the keyboards wirelessly?

The models offered here are wired USB-C keyboards. Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless are not included in the listed features.

Can I replace the switches without soldering?

Yes. Use a suitable puller and only Hall Effect magnetic switches that are expressly compatible with your model. Compatibility lists vary depending on the version. Standard mechanical switches are not suitable simply because they have a similar number of pins.

Is a Hall Effect keyboard also suitable for everyday typing?

Yes. Choose an actuation point that suits your typing feel and, if necessary, an ISO-DE/QWERTZ version. For additional input features such as Snap Click, you should check the applicable rules before using them in-game.
