Mercury V75 – Stealth-Schwarz/Mecha-Grau

Everything works perectly as intended, shipping was fast. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is the RGB options are a bit lacking for how cool the design is and the keycaps for the stealth black keyboard are less unreadable than I intially thought. Bought the cyberpunk keycap set to replace them so not too much of a problem.

This is an amazing keyboard, it’s almost perfect! Only thing it lacks is the customization of the lighting. On the side bars you basically have 2 options; the first options is solid color and the second is a rainbow effect. On the keys you do have multiple effects but you cannot customized anything past coloring each key separately. I do not see this as a problem tho. The side bars are the main problem, please add an option to control each side bar separately.

High quality Product

So let me start with the good:
- Hall Effect switches which lets you change the actuation point and rapid trigger which is very helpful for gamers
- Office mode switch for when you don't need the gamer level precision
- Sound and feel is really good. My only addition added a Nuphy Ghost Bar for the space bar to make that sound better (not bad to start tho).
- Per key RGB and secondary zone (around the edges) lighting that get pretty bright and have different patterns.
- Design (this is subjective) as a gamer keyboard - the cutouts around the edges has an organic shape.
- Volume rocker is nice for dedicated volume controls (although I think I prefer a knob)
- The build seems solid - it is heaver than my Aula 75 and my Melgeek keyboards.

And then a few minor things:
- The little screen doesn't do much. Would be better with time or something useful
- The keyboard fonts which, in general, aren't too bad (definitely gamer style) but some of the letters look almost identical (U an V for example). So I do like that the letters are BIG, but a little more distinction would be nice.
- If you lean back to type and have this on your lap, do NOT have anything magnetic in there. I had my Airpods Pro case in my pocket with the keyboard on my lap and the magnet in the case was enough to case ghost keypresses. Not sure if this is with all HE keyboards as it is magnetic driven, but definitely this one (it affects it if you wave the Airpods under or above the keyboard).
- Finally, while the configuration software is browser based (use Chrome and not Firefox, at least in my experience), it is a little wonky with Chinese text still shown in some places even if you have english selected. Its seems a little basic and I wasn't sure if it is accurate. In one case, the keypress tests would not zero out when not pressed and appeared that the actuation point was above the line of a not pressing. Not sure if I trust that, which is important if you want to configure it. Additionally, the site can be a little more friendly.

Overall, as my first HE keyboard, I liked it (issues notwithstanding). I was pleasantly surprised I liked how it felt since I usually do a mechanical tactile switch.
